Mark your calendar for Saturday, June 5, 2021 for our 5th annual Abilene Outdoor Adventures! The event will take place at Cal Young Park (950 T&P Lane) from 9am-3pm. This free, family-friendly event provides educational and fun activities to encourage families to partake in outdoor recreation, conservation/preservation, and wellness. This takes place on Texas free fishing day, so anyone can come out and fish, even if you don't have a fishing license! There are multiple different activities to participate in, such as fishing, kayak demonstrations, wildlife identification, plant identification, archery, roping, and so much more. Don't miss out on this exciting event that's coming to Abilene!

Abilene Outdoor Adventure Flyer for 2021

June 5 is Free Fishing Day in Texas, anyone can fish even if they don’t have a fishing license. While a fishing license will not be required that day, statewide bag and length limits for fish will still be in effect. More information about freshwater fishing regulations can be found in the TPWD Outdoor Annual.
