Winter Break Camp
Agents needed for Mission Impossible! We're recruiting boys and girls ages 6-13, and the mission happens between December 23, 26-27, 30-31, and January 2 and 3, with no camp happening December 24, 25, or January 1. It's from 7:00am to 6:00pm, meeting at headquarters at Sears Recreation Center. The mission includes daily lunch, snacks, arts & crafts, gym games, a field trip, and more! Registration opens November 1, and you can register online at www.abilenetx.gov/signup!
After School Program
The After School program will meet on early release dates, but not other Abilene Independent School District (AISD) holidays or in-service days. The After School program is not licensed through the State of Texas.
The After School Program includes:
- Enriched learning
- Fun activities
- Gym games
- Healthy snacks
- Homework Help
- New experiences
Transportation will not be provided by the Abilene Recreation Division; however some AISD school sites do offer transportation to the Recreation Centers
Register your child for the City of Abilene Recreation Division After School Program at www.abilenetx.gov/signup.
Registration begins Wednesday, July 17th. The Program operates Monday through Friday from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Rose, G.V. Daniels, Sears, and Cobb Recreation Centers. The program is open to children ages 6 to 13, and follows the AISD school year. The program is $15 per person per week, or free for children on the free or reduced meal program.
