City of Abilene Dog Training Classes Summer 2023

Course Instructor: Stephanie DeYoung 

Location: Cobb Park Recreation Center (2302 State Street)

Enroll for Tuesday or Thursday Night

Tuesday June 6th – July 18th (No class Tuesday July 4th)

Thursday June 8th – July 13th

 **No dogs the first night of class**

Puppy Basics: 6:00pm – 7:00pm

 Puppies 10 weeks to under 7 months of age - Learn how to handle normal puppy issues such as potty training, chewing, jumping, walking on a leash, and more all while making learning fun and effective for both you and your puppy. 

*Please bring proof of at least 2 Distemper/parvo vaccines if puppy is under 12 weeks of age by week 2 of class, if puppy is over 12 weeks of age, Bordetella is required and over 16 weeks, rabies is required-(vaccines must be given by a veterinarian)*

Beginner Basics: 7:15pm – 8:15pm

Basic Obedience skills for dogs over 7 months of age - Learn basic obedience fundamentals all dogs should know while making learning fun and effective for both you and your dog. No dog is too old to learn new skills. 

*Please bring proof of Rabies, Distemper/Parvo, and Bordetella vaccinations to first class(vaccines must be given by a veterinarian)*
