Dress Code

Not Permitted

The following will not be permitted:

  • Any Gang Related Colors or Clothing
  • Baggy Pants
  • Bandanas
  • Bare Midriffs (Skin Visible Between Shirt and Pants)
  • Caps
  • Do-Rags
  • Facial or Tongue Piercing
  • Hats
  • Heavy Medallions or Chains
  • Hoods
  • House Shoes
  • Pajamas
  • Short Skirts
  • Shorts
  • Spaghetti Straps
  • Spiked Hair Styles
  • Spiked Leather Jewelry
  • Sundresses
  • Sweat Bands
  • T-Shirts with Slogans or Pictures
  • Tank Tops
  • Untucked Shirts
  • Visible Body Piercing

Males

  • Wear dress slacks, nice pants, or at least nice jeans without holes or tears.
  • Wear a nice pressed shirt or at least a shirt without holes or tears.
  • Wear dress shoes, boots or athletic shoes.

Females

  • Wear dress pants, or at least jeans without holes or tears.
  • Wear nice pressed shirts, or at least shirts without holes or tears. The shirt must cover your stomach completely.
  • No bare midriffs.
  • You may also wear a dress or skirt. The skirt must be no shorter than 2 inches above the knee.
  • Wear dress shoes, boots or athletic shoes.

Not Following the Dress Code

Anyone not following the dress code will not be allowed to enter the courtroom and if you are a participant or volunteer you will not receive credit.

Additional Concerns & Tips

  • Dress nicely.
  • No cell phones allowed.
  • If you have any questions regarding permissible dress code call the Teen Court Coordinator prior to appearing in Court.
