Planning & Development Services
The Planning and Development Services Department is responsible for the plans and management that keep the city running.
If you are planning a new development, needing to rezone property, planning renovations on your home, checking compliance aspects, or needing resources for yourself or your home, this is the department to contact.
New Location
You can reach the offices of Planning & Zoning, Building Inspections, and Code Compliance from the northeast entrance of City Hall (Municipal Court's previous location).

Building Inspections
The Building Inspections Division administers professionally-accepted standards and adopted regulations to safeguard life, safety, health, property, and public welfare of all construction-related activity within the City limits.

Code Compliance
The mission of Code Compliance is to educate the public and gain citizen compliance on health, safety, and quality of life issues.

Neighborhood Services
Neighborhood Services is responsible for administering two federal grants: the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and the Home Investment Partnerships Program (HOME).

Planning Services
The Planning Services Division consolidates current, long-range and specialized planning activities into a single division. The primary functions of the division are to administer development and land use regulations, respond to emerging development trends, anticipate future community needs, and provide expertise and policy advice.
