Abilene Regional Airport (ABI) is a Division of Transportation Services for the City of Abilene. It has been owned and maintained by the City since 1929. ABI is currently served by American Airlines, with seven flights a day direct to Dallas/Ft. Worth International Airport. The airport serves over 90,000 passengers per year from Abilene and the surrounding area.
While Abilene Regional Airport is maintained and staffed by the City of Abilene, the Development Corporation of Abilene supplies a grant that funds the Airport Business Development Program which handles both the marketing of the airport, and the development of air service to ABI.
