Free Tax Help with VITA

Participate in the annual Free Tax Help program provided by VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) at your Main Library. This service will be open by registration only with sessions being offered weekly, Wednesdays through Saturdays, from February 7 - April 13.
The community is invited to participate in the Free Tax Help program with VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) at your library. e-File your taxes for free with with IRS-trained volunteers who will walk participants through the filing process from start to finish. Sessions will run Wednesdays through Saturdays starting at 9:00AM and only for those who register for a session. Registration will be open Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays from 9:00AM to 1:00PM by calling 325-260-0406. You will then be scheduled for a slot to attend this program by a VITA volunteer. Walk-ins will not be seen due to limited volunteers, but they will try to register you for a slot at the next available session. Be sure to bring with you all of your 2023 tax materials and allow the volunteers to walk you through the entire filing process.

Library staff will not be able to register you for sessions, nor will we be allowed to help patrons with filing their taxes as we are not tax professionals. Limited tax forms will be available for pickup at all three branch libraries and additional forms may be printed out from the IRS website at $0.15 per page.
