On Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at approximately 7:20 pm, crews with the Abilene Fire Department responded to reports of a residential structure fire located in the 3000 block of South 12th Street. On arrival, crews found heavy smoke and flames coming from the rear of the structure. A quick attack was made on the fire and the fire was quickly brought under control. There were no residents home at the time of the incident and no injuries were reported. The estimated loss is approximately $30,000. The fire is still under investigation.
