On March 17, 2022 at approximately 3:15 p.m. the Abilene Fire Department responded to a commercial structure fire located on the 2700 block of Old Anson. AFD fire crews arrived to heavy smoke and flames showing from the carport in the backyard. The fire was quickly contained and extinguished. There was heavy damage confined to the structure. No injuries to home owner or AFD crews. Damages are estimated at $20,000.
