On April 11, 2022 at approximately 8:52 p.m. the Abilene Fire Department responded to a commercial structure fire located on the 1200 block of N 8th. AFD fire crews arrived to find smoke coming out of the front door of the structure. A small contents fire was discovered inside and quickly extinguished. The structure is a vacant/condemned building. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation. Damages are estimated at $500.
