ABILENE, TX – On Tuesday, April 12, detectives with the Auto Crimes Task Force arrested two Abilene teens on multiple charges stemming from several crimes in Abilene over multiple days. 19-year-old Devontay Dee Wayne Don Lamb and a 16-year-old juvenile male were taken into custody in east Abilene while in a stolen vehicle.
Detectives responded to a tip from a victim whose vehicle was reported stolen. When detectives arrived at the scene, they located Lamb and the teen inside the vehicle and took them into custody. Detectives located weapons inside the vehicle.
Lamb is in the Taylor County Jail. He is being held on charges of Second Degree Felony Burglary of Habitation, Third Degree Felony Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon, and State Jail Felony Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle. The juvenile is being held at the Taylor County Juvenile Justice Center and is accused of several crimes.
The investigation is ongoing and more charges are possible.
