On May 17, 2022 at approximately 3:57 p.m. the Abilene Fire Department responded to a residential structure fire located on the 2700 block of Pine Street. AFD fire crews arrived to heavy smoke escaping from the attic of the residential structure. The fire was brought under control and extinguished without incident. The structure was not occupied at the time of the fire. Damages are estimated at $20,000. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
