[ARCHIVED] Abilene Man Arrested for Aggravated Assault

ABILENE, TX – On Friday, June 24, at approximately 1:23 a.m., Abilene Police responded to an injured subject call at a residence in the 100 block of South Pioneer Drive.  Upon arrival, it was discovered that a 23-year-old male, armed with a weapon, allegedly assaulted a 35-year-old female.

Detectives with the Major Investigations Bureau were called to the scene to assist with the investigation.   Detectives discovered evidence that further corroborated the victim’s story.  The male suspect, identified as ElKeithtryck Robert Mason Jr., was taken into custody and charged with Second Degree Felony Aggravated Assault – with a bond amount of $100,000.  He is currently being held at the Taylor County Jail.
