The local chapter of the Texas Master Gardeners presented another informative workshop for the community on Friday, July 8. The subject of this month's session was Firewise Landscaping, which is another way of people incorporating fire safety into their landscape design and ideas. This helps to ensure your home is safe, or at least as safe as you can make it, when a fire comes along.
Karen Saunders was the presenter of this session, and she has received special training and instruction on this topic to be able to share her knowledge with others in the community. While discussing the importance of "defensible spaces," she covered a variety of topics and scenarios to help illustrate her point. With the extreme heat Texas can face, the threat is always there in the summer, so feel free to watch the video and see what tips you can learn.
