Back for round two, the South Branch Library will be hosting a Mini-Art Exhibit in October for National Arts & Humanities Month. To make that possible, we’re going to need a little help. If you have some artistic abilities, feel free to stop by the South Branch Library to see about picking up a free mini art kit. There’s a limited supply for the first 30 who inquire about it.
Next, those who receive an art kit (complete with a 3x3-inch canvas and a miniature paint kit and brush) will then be challenged to create their own miniature masterpiece and return to the South Branch Library before the end of the month.
We want to see your creativity shine through as artists will be allowed to create whatever they choose, but still keeping it family-friendly as this is a library after all. With that in mind, create whatever you can think of…the more creative the better.
Once October comes around, we will display all the completed miniature art in our lobby for guests who visit to peruse. We saw some amazing artwork submitted last year and hope to see even more this year. Don’t miss your chance to participate this year, and for additional information, contact Marnie Boyers at 325-698-7565.
