The Free Tax Assistance program at your Abilene Public Library is one of the great services we’re pleased to host every year. Open to the community to participate in, this is your chance to be able to visit your library and e-File your taxes for free. Even better, you’ll be guided through each step of the process with IRS-trained volunteers with the AARP.
Running four sessions a week, across your Main Library and Mockingbird Branch locations, sessions are already underway and will continue until April 11, as we get close to the end of tax season. Guests will be helped on a first-come, first-served basis, and to learn more about this program, Janis Test (Information Services Manager) took the time to sit with Tremain Jackson (Technology/Multimedia Manager) to discuss this program in the latest edition of the Inside the Library series.
