The Abilene Public Library’s Annual Report is now available for the public to view. It’s a great way to chart our progress over the past year, and what an exciting year it was. Within the report you’ll receive an overview, as well as a goodbye message, from former library director Lori Grumet. Under her leadership, the library saw much change, growth, and expansion. As she entered retirement, the hunt for her successor began.
As Grumet’s message of change permeated through narrative, we also wanted to continue with that same theme throughout the 2019’s Annual Report. Inside you’ll find:
- Statistics to track how busy our services were, especially with receiving over 500,000 visits.
- Learn about some of the new initiatives launched including Mobile Labs, Maker Kits, and Coffee & Conversations.
- Get a review of Children’s, Teen, and Adult services, as well as new programming created in each area for the public.
- and more.

Printed copies are available to pickup at all library branch locations while supplies last. Additionally, you may access the current Annual Report Online to read, download, or print for your convenience. Additionally, if you visit our Annual Reports Page Online you’ll also have access to previous annual reports as far back as 2014.
