Arrest Male Suspect for Making Terroristic Threat

ABILENE, TX – Abilene Police arrested a 42 year old man for threatening the life of Police Chief Stan Standridge. On Tuesday, December 3, a male subject placed a call to police dispatch. In the call, he stated his intentions to shoot Chief Standridge. The caller did not identify himself nor relate a motive. A subsequent investigation identified the caller as 42 year old Michael Holmes. He was taken into custody late Wednesday, December 4, 2019 at a south Abilene hotel without incident. Holmes is charged with Terroristic Threat Against a Public Servant, a State Jail Felony. This investigation continues.
