Abilene is truly a community that values reading, art, and literacy, especially when it comes to serving youth and families. The National Center for Children's Illustrated Literature has been a staple in Abilene for connecting the community with incredible art and activities by award-winning artists and illustrators. Your library is highlighting those artists by offering access to a new NCCIL Collection of the works of the artists featured at the NCCIL over the past 25 years. Even better, these illustrators, and sometimes authors, have also been honored at the Children's Art + Literacy Festival too.
Families are invited to come peruse these new collections and borrow great materials from artists that have been featured and honored in Abilene, so you can find them easily and enjoy them year round. But allow us to share a quick video with you to give you a quick introduction to this collection, presented by Alyssa Crow, manager of the South Branch Library.
