Click it or Ticket Increased Traffic Enforcement

Abilene, Texas – The Abilene Police Department began increased traffic enforcement operations on Monday, May 22, and will continue through the Memorial Day Holiday and end on Sunday, June 4. This enforcement is intended to help encourage drivers and passengers to wear their seatbelts, promote other safe driving habits, and reduce traffic fatalities. 

 Enforcement officers will target specific areas of Abilene daily through June 4. Officers will be patrolling high-traffic areas to help decrease various traffic violations. During this period, officers will target two zones. Zone 1 includes the bounding area of Grape St., Ambler Ave., Judge Ely Blvd., and North 1st St. Zone 2 includes the area of South 1st St., south Treadaway Blvd., South 27th to Barrow St.

 Abilene Police want to remind all drivers to practice safe driving habits and slow down while on our roadways.
