The Abilene Fire Department is on scene of a main gas leak on S 27th Street. Atmos is working to stop the leak at this time. S 27th is currently closed from Barrow to Willis Street, and we are asking the public to avoid the area if possible. The leak is estimated to be mitigated in 4-6 hours.
