Abilene, Texas –
In March of 1982, the Abilene Police Department responded to a double homicide in the 1300 block of South Bowie Street. The victims were identified as 30-year-old, Susanna Flores Brown and her 8-year-old daughter Franchesca Antionette Martinez.
The case remained cold for forty-one years. The Abilene Police Department Cold Case Detectives revisited the case, and through advancements in DNA technology, and new information an arrest warrant was issued by the Taylor County District Attorney’s Office. Billye Brown (DOB 01/27/58) was arrested and charged with two counts of First Degree Homicide.
Brown is being held on a bond of $200,000.
The victim’s family was notified of this arrest.
