Abilene, Texas – On Monday, November 6, 2023, Abilene Police Detectives questioned 21-year-old Kasey Allen Rogers for a case involving two counts of Burglary of Habitation, involving sexual assault, that occurred over the weekend. When detectives finished questioning him and in the process of transporting him to Taylor County, Rogers eluded officers and ran to a nearby abandoned building in the 300 block of South Pioneer Dr.
Rogers was taken into custody a short time later. He received medical treatment for a cut to his leg and then transported to Taylor County Jail.
He is charged with two counts of First Degree Felony Burglary of Habitation and one count of Third Degree Felony Escape While Arrested.
