The Teen Dungeons & Dragons Club is a weekly gaming series designed for teens to come out and challenge their peers in this popular role-playing game. Starting in February, the offerings of this club will change with activities being hosted across two library locations.
The Main Library (202 Cedar St.) will host sessions on the first and third Tuesday evenings of each month at 5:30PM, while the Mockingbird Branch will host this program on the second and fourth Tuesdays at the same time. It will still be a weekly program, but hosted across two locations. Feel free to attend both, or come to the sessions that best fit your schedule.
At each program offering, the library will supply a manual, dice, and character sheets. Then it’s up to our gamers to bring life to the rest of the game. This fantasy game was first published in 1974 and allows players to create their own characters that embark on adventures within a fantasy setting, all of which are watched over by a dungeon master. Although the game was popularized in recent years thanks to the success of Netflix’s “Stranger Things” show, it continues to be a game that’s popular with all ages.
Make note of this change in our gaming nights and be sure to look out for our Teen Dungeons & Dragons Club offerings again on the first and third Tuesdays of each month at the Main Library, and the second and fourth Tuesdays at the Mockingbird Branch, both starting at 5:30PM. For more information about each, contact the Main Library at 325-676-6025 or the Mockingbird Branch at 325-437-7323.
