Structure Fire: 600 Block of Beech Street.

Structure Fire - Abilene Fire Department News

On February 12, 2024 at approximately 4 a.m., the Abilene Fire Department responded to a residential structure fire in the 600 block of Beech Street. Crews arrived to find heavy fire in the front room of this residence. Crews were able to quickly stop the fire from spreading to other residences and confine the fire to the one room in the residence. There was an occupant at home at the time of the fire. They were able to evacuate themselves without harm and the Red Cross was contacted for their help with the occupant. The damage to the residence was approximately $30,000 and the fire is determined to be accidental caused by incense being burned to close to other combustibles.
