Update: Officer Involved Shooting Male Identified

ABILENE, TX – Next of kin notification has been made on the deceased from Tuesday morning’s incident. He is identified as 28-year-old Lebarron Ballard of Abilene. This call was originally dispatched as a Felony Robbery which was followed by a foot pursuit, and ultimately a violent confrontation. The involved officers remain at home, recovering from significant injuries. The investigations by the Texas Rangers and the Police Department continue.
