Structure Fire: 2800 Block of Pine Street

On March 19th, 2020 at approximately 09:50 a.m., the Abilene Fire Department responded to a structure fire in the 2800 block of Pine St. Fire crews arrived on scene to find heavy smoke and flames coming from a single-wide mobile home structure. The occupant was not home at the time of the fire. The fire was brought under control and extinguished by responding fire crews. The fire damage was extensive and resulted in a total loss of the structure. The Red Cross arrived on scene and provided assistance to the occupant. The fire cause is ruled accidental due to an electrical malfunction.
