On June 17, 2020 at approximately 11:40 p.m. the Abilene Fire Department responded to a 2-alarm structure fire located in the 3500 block of Rolling Green Drive. The first arriving units discovered a 2-story apartment complex with heavy fire on the exterior. The fire was quickly extinguished without any fire extension into the interior of the structure. The fire was initially discovered by the apartment maintenance supervisor who was walking the grounds. He was able to call 911 then ensured that no occupants were in the adjacent apartments.
