Fatal Crash in North Abilene

Fatal Crash Web News Flash

Police responded to a traffic crash at Grape Street and West Overland Trail at 4:31 p.m., Thursday, June 25, 2020. The driver of a white 2010 Chevrolet Malibu was traveling south on Grape Street, approaching the West Overland Trail intersection when the vehicle accelerated and veered to the right. The vehicle collided with the bridge column. The patient was unresponsive when responders arrived. The driver was transported to the hospital where she was pronounced deceased.

Driver identification will be made once next of kin notification is conducted. A preliminary investigation shows she was not wearing a seat belt.
