On June 29, 2020, at approximately 1:50 am, the Abilene Fire Department responded to a structure fire in the 1400 block of Longbotham Street. Fire crews arrived to find a fully involved shed structure in the back of the residence. Fire crews made an exterior attack with multiple lines. Crews were able to extinguish the fire and prevent further spread. Damage to the building was heavy. There were no occupants in the structure and there were no reported injuries. The damage to the structure was estimated to be a total loss. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
