The Abilene Police Department’s Youth Division, along with assistance from other units, began investigating a string of graffiti cases in the downtown area which began in early July. The graffiti contained hate speech and symbols. A group has been identified through tips received from the public. We want to thank our community for their willingness to assist their police department in keeping this hateful rhetoric out of our community and help put a stop to this crime. Charges are pending reference this investigation.

Detectives continue to ask for assistance in identifying a second group of suspects who are responsible for targeting downtown businesses and homes over the past few days. The video may be viewed via the APD Facebook page. We ask anyone who may know this group of four younger males, to contact Abilene Crime Stoppers, 325-676-8477. You will remain anonymous and eligible for a cash reward.
