[ARCHIVED] Structure Fire: 1700 Block of Jeanette Street

At approximately 9:28 a.m. on September 5th 2020, the Abilene Fire Department responded to a residential structure fire in the 1700 block of Jeanette Street. Crews arrived on scene to find smoke showing from the residence. During the initial investigation fire crews located flames in the attic, made a quick attack and extinguished the fire. The resident was home at the time of the fire but was able to exit without injury. Estimated loss is determined to be $5,000. The cause of the fire is accidental and electrical in nature.
