Fatal Pedestrian Crash

ABILENE, TX – On Monday, November 16, 2020, at approximately 6:30 pm, the Abilene Police Department responded to a call for service of a major motor vehicle collision in the 3100 block of South 1st Street. The original calling party indicated that a female pedestrian had been struck by a vehicle in the roadway.

 Upon arrival at the scene, officers discovered that a 39-year-old female, later identified as Rosie Glasscock Reeh, had been struck by a westbound vehicle on South 1st Street. Reeh was transported by ambulance to a local hospital due to injuries sustained in the collision and was later pronounced deceased by Justice of the Peace Mike McAullife. Next of kin has been notified.

This investigation is being conducted by officers from the Abilene Police Department’s Traffic Division. Additional information may be released at a later time as it becomes available.
