On December 6 2020 at approximately 4:26 p.m., the Abilene Fire Department responded to a residential structure fire at the 800 Block of Alameda Road. Crews arrived to find a heavy smoke showing from the rear of the residence. The fire was located inside a small detached shed behind the main residence. Fire crews extinguished the fire which had spread to the privacy fences belonging to two other properties. The damage resulted in a total loss of the structure estimated at $10,000. The fire remains under investigation at this time.
