On December 6 2020 at approximately 4 p.m., the Abilene Fire Department responded to a wildland fire behind the 2900 Old Anson Road. Crews arrived to find a small outside rubbish and wildland fire. The fire was located inside a heavily wooded area which made it difficult to access. Fire crews extinguished the small fire which had spread to only a four foot by four foot area. Weather conditions were favorable in keeping the fire small even with dry vegetation in the area. The fire was remains under investigation at this time.
