On January 9th at approximately 7:30 pm, the Abilene Fire Department responded to a residential structure fire in the 2300 block of Wyndham Court. Crews arrived to find a three story residence with smoke and fire showing from the roof on the back of the structure. A second alarm was dispatched shortly after initial crews arrived on the scene. The crews were able to extinguish the fire quickly limiting the spread of the fire. The homeowners were able to self evacuate before crews arrived. The cause of the fire remains under investigation and the estimated damage is $30,000.
