Ready, get set... charge! Abilene's 1st Run that will allow you to run around through Nelson Park AND the Abilene Zoo! It'll take place on Saturday, April 17 at Grover Nelson Park and the Abilene Zoo with the festivities starting at 9:00am. Show us your wild side, dress up in your finest stripes, spots, trees, flowers, trees, or feathers, and let's run for the EARTH!
There will be two separate races: a 1k for those 12 and under and a 5k for those 13 and older. The 1k race is $10 per child and starts at 9:00am, and the 5k race is $25 per runner and starts at 9:30am.
First 100 overall registrations will receive a free t-shirt. Prizes will be awarded for various age divisions and top overall winner.
Medals will be awarded to first in each age category and first overall male and first overall female.
