Meter readings are taken at about the same time each month based on geographic location. Each Municipal Services Statement indicates the read date. Please contact the Customer Service Center at email@example.com or (325)676-6405 if you have more questions about the read date or your statement.
Sometimes it becomes necessary to estimate consumption, for reasons such as a malfunctioning transmitter (the meter is still functioning), the transmitter is covered (for example, with water or a vehicle), or an inability to access the meter. If personnel are unable to manually read the meter in time, estimated reads are generated by the system using the evenly weighted average of the current month, previous month, and last year current month. An estimated read contains an “e” next to the meter reading.
Once issue is resolved, we will obtain a reading and send a corrected bill. if appropriate.
