If there are individuals in your home who have respiratory problems or are mobility impaired, please notify the Water Utilities Department at 325-676-6000 prior to testing.
Smoke should only enter your premises if the drain traps in your home are dry or defective, or if you have a plumbing issue. You may want to pour approximately 3 cups of water down your drains, especially those rarely used, to ensure that the drain pipe trap will be effective.
Smoke testing will be occur between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
