Animals

  • AXOLOTL

    Also known as Blair's Leopard Frog, after a zoologist from the University of Texas, these small frogs may not be considered endangered or threatened, but they are in the state of Indiana.

    If you have a passion for the sea, learn about the field of science that studies marine life and organisms in the sea. This class contains a look into the profession through videos of a marine biologist in Maui.

    Celebrated each year from September 15 through October 15, this time celebrates the cultures and contributions of American citizens whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Central and South America.

  • HISTORY OF BEAUTY AND THE BEAST
    As one of the most popular tales in oral storytelling, take a look at the story and its variants found in most areas of the world, including the most well-known version in America by Gabrielle-Suzanne Barbot de Villeneuve.

  • HISTORY OF CINDERELLA
    Take a deeper look into a a popular folk tale that is present and many forms and versions telling the story of a young person in tragic circumstances. Go beyond the tale to learn of its first occurrence and how it's been adapted throughout the years.

  • HISTORY OF MULAN
    Travel to China and take a look back at the life of a fictional folk heroine from the Northern and Southern dynasties era who fought in place of her father by disguising herself as a man.
