    As more people acquire smartphones, tablets, and laptops, you may find yourself needing a little help. If that’s you, join us for TECH (Technology Enrichment & Collaborative Help) Time at your library. Sessions will be hosted on a weekly basis at your South Branch Library where our tech gurus will help you to navigate your way through learning to use your devices and answering your tech-related questions. If you need help learning to use our digital services, learning to use features on your devices, experiencing a problem, etc., we’ll do our best to help you learn and resolve the issues you’re experiencing. We may not have all the answers, but we’ll certainly do our best to help. Guests will be helped on a first-come, first-served basis and limited to 20-minutes if others are waiting.     People who enjoy sewing, embroidery, or other needlecrafts know that a pincushion can come in very handy. Those who want to take their needlecraft with them when they travel or even have to wait someplace may need to get into as small a container or space as possible. That’s where bottle cap pincushions benefit everyone. Being small and versatile, they travel easily, can fit in small spaces, and may even be attached with double sided tape to a sewing machine to keep them handy when needed. Getting one is easy.   15. Imagination Lab: DIY Crystals (Main Library)

    Youth won’t want to miss the next Imagination Lab session at your Main Library where we get hands-on with great projects that have you thinking, imagining, and creating. At this afternoon session, will be making DIY Crystals. Youth will learn how to create a snowflake or flower using simple chenille sticks. Then we’ll put them in jars, fill them with a borax solution, and see how they crystallize.     This class is for dogs aged 7 months and up. For your dogs safety, they must have completed all of their puppy shots prior to the first class.You will need to bring proof of shots with you the first day of class. In this class, your dog will learn basic manners: Settle, sit, down, heeling, recalls, stays, touch, place and manners when meeting others. You will learn how to build a relationship with your dog that will keep him eager to work with you! This class focuses on accomplishing the elements to pass the CGC (AKC's Canine Good Citizenship) Test. The CGC test is offered, free of charge, to those participants who would like to test on the last day of class. Please bring flat or training collar and a six foot leash, as well as any treats your dog loves!

In this class, you will build on the skills learned in the regular scent class and transition your dog from finding a food source scent, to searching for the scent of Birch. The hides become more difficult and handlers must become better at reading their dog's body language. We focus on proper protocols and good reward timing. There will be room, container, and area searches, as well as vehicle.
