    Join us for an afternoon of gaming fun! Designed for both new and experienced players, gamers from their tweens to adults are welcome to be a part of this weekly meetup where we gather to play the Pokemon Card Game. Pokemon has something for everyone, so come out, bring your cards, and be ready to battle it out at your library. Instruction will also be available for those interested in learning how to play, and once you do, you’ll be challenging everyone else in no time.     If you’re at least 8-years-old, and love tinkering with techie things, you’ll certainly want to join us for our next Imagination Lab session at your library. This time around, we’ll be playing with Snap Circuits. These can be used to create electronic projects such as a light with a switch or dimmer by snapping different pieces together. It’s easy to learn and fun and all instructions will be provided. No skills are necessary and all materials will be supplied. Registration is required so be sure to Register Online.   6. Tween & Teen Take & Make: Papercrafts

    The crafting fun continues at your South Branch Library with a selection of great papercrafts for tweens and teens to have fun with. There are papercrafts for almost every character imaginable and all you need to make them is some tape, a glue stick, and the pattern of your choice. Stop by the library during this day and we’ll have some amazing papercraft templates for you to take home and construct your own awesome 3D creations.   7. Teen After Hours: Mad Hatter Tea Party

    Teens are invited to fall down the rabbit hole and join us for a special Mad Hatter Tea Party at your Main Library. Join us for an evening of fun inspired by the wacky ways of the Mad Hatter by making Perler Bead Creations. There will also be some topsy-turvy coloring pages, and tea of course. Don’t miss out on the madness and be sure to arrive before 6:00PM because after that we’ll be locking the doors to the public. Rides should arrive by 7:30PM for pickup.     Tweens are invited out for some fun making creative crafts and projects at your library. Join us this summer on Wednesday afternoons this month as we CREATE!     Drop in to your South Branch Library and join in on a Saturday Matinee showing of a popular crime comedy flick with an all-star ensemble cast including Daniel Craig, Chris Evans, Jamie Lee Curtis, Toni Collette, Christopher Plummer, and more in 2019’s “Knives Out.” In this film, when renowned crime novelist Harlan Thrombey is found dead at his estate, the inquisitive Detective Benoit Blanc is mysteriously enlisted to investigate. From Harlan’s dysfunctional family to his devoted staff, Blanc sifts through a web of red herrings and self-serving lies to uncover the truth behind Harlan’s untimely death. This film is rated PG-13 for thematic elements including brief violence, some strong language, sexual references, and drug material and has a run time of 2 hours and 10 minutes.
