  1. Alice in Wonderland Bookmarks (South Branch)

    If you frequent the library, chances are you’re a reader. If you love to read printed books, chances are you’ll always need a bookmark to help keep your place in those books. If so, you’re invited out to the South Branch Library for a special craft workshop where we’ll show you how to create some Alice in Wonderland Bookmarks. All materials will be supplied, all you need do is come out and been ready to create something fun at your library. This program is designed for teens and adults ages 15+.   2. LEGO Galore (Mockingbird Branch)

    Youth are invited out to your Mockingbird Branch Library for some LEGO Club fun. We’ll supply all the materials you’ll need to build whatever you can think of, and offer resources for all the different items you can build with these simple building blocks. We’ll spend the majority of the program working on our creations, and then we’ll reserve some time at the end of the program to admire what everyone has built.     It’s time for another Saturday of STEAM fun for youth at your South Branch Library. STEAM of course stands for programming centered around science, technology, engineering, the arts, and mathematics as a way to make learning interactive and fun for youth. At this session, join us as we make paper snowflakes as a winter-themed activity. We’ll discuss how snowflakes are formed and even make some of our own.     If you’re looking to catch a family-friendly movie this weekend, head out to your Main Library for the next Family Flix session where we’ll be showing “Wonder Park.” In this film, June discovers an incredible amusement park called Wonderland hidden in the woods. The park is full of fantastical rides and talking, funny animals - only the park is in disarray. June soon discovers the park came from her imagination and she’s the only one who can fix it, so she bands together with the animals to save this magical place and bring back the wonder to Wonderland.
