    Kids and parents are invited to join your South Branch Library for a great mid-morning movie. This time we’re watching 1993’s “Hocus Pocus” (the definitive Halloween flick for families) starring Bette Midler, Kathy Najimy, and Sarah Jessica Parker. In this Disney classic, a curious youngster moves to Salem where he struggles to fit in before awakening a trio of diabolical witches that were executed in the 17th century. They’re mission is to steal all the children of the town so they can stay young and live forever. This film is rated PG for some scary sequences, and for language, and has a run time of 1 hour and 36 minutes. Light snacks will be served, or feel free to bring your own snacks to the show.   2. Saturday Matinee: "Gretel & Hansel"

    Catch a great movie during the South Branch Library’s Saturday Matinee event where we play great hits. At this session we’ll be showing 2020’s “Gretel & Hansel” starring Sophia Lillis and Samuel Leaky. In this film, a long time ago in a distant fairy tale countryside, a young girl leads her little brother into a dark wood in a desperate search for food and work, only to stumble upon a nexus of terrifying evil. This film is rated PG-13 for disturbing images/thematic content, and brief drug material and has a run time of 1 hour and 27 minutes.
