  1. Public Forum on Downtown Street & Parking Restriping Program

    October 26, 2020, 4:30 PM - 7:30 PM @ Upstairs Conference Room

    Abilene residents are invited to attend a Public Forum Monday, October 26th, at the Abilene Convention Center, 2nd floor Conference Room (1100 N. 6th St.) from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. to discuss the future downtown street and parking restriping program. The Public Forum is an opportunity for Abilene citizens and business owners to see firsthand the general street and parking layouts planned for downtown. City Staff will be available to answer questions, address concerns and hear input until 7:30 p.m.

  1. TECH Time (Appointment Only)

    As more people acquire smartphones, tablets, and laptops, you may find yourself needing a little help. If that’s you, join us for TECH (Technology Enrichment & Collaborative Help) Time at your library. Sessions will be offered twice a week where our tech gurus can help you navigate your way through learning to use your devices and answering your tech-related questions at a time you schedule. Register for a time to visit on Tuesday or Thursday by emailing tremain.jackson@abilenetx.gov or calling our office at 325-437-4564. If there is no answer, please leave your name and a contact number so that we may return your call to set up a time. Sessions will last 30-45 minutes.

Library - Storytimes

  1. Preschool Storytime at South Branch

    October 26, 2020, 11:15 AM - 11:45 AM @ Meeting Room

    Designed for youth ages 3-6, come out with your parents and join your library for stories, fingerplays, sing songs, watch puppets and engage in other visual presentations.  Limited seating will be available for the first 30 participants to meet the regulation of no more than 50% capacity of the room space.
