  1. Free Tax Assistance

    February 7, 2020, 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM @ Activity Room

    e-File your taxes for free with IRS-trained volunteers from the AARP through the annual Free Tax Assistance program running February 5 through April 11 at your Main Library and Mockingbird Branch locations. Guests are helped on a first-come, first-served basis and you should bring with you your Photo ID, Social Security Card, W-2s, a blank check, and all other tax materials you’ll need from 2019. Sessions will be hosted weekly on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 10AM to 3PM at your Main Library, Fridays and Saturdays at the Mockingbird Branch (same time). Sign-up for a spot starting at 9:30AM and continue to do so until all spots are filled. For more information, contact staff at 325-676-6025 or 325-437-7323

  2. Super Storytime: Valentine's Day

    Your Main Library is all set for another great Super Storytime event designed for kids of all ages, and parents too. Valentine’s Day is a big day this month, and that’s what we’ll be celebrating at this storytime session. Come out and hear stories about this day, love, and friendship. We’ll also share songs and get hands on with making a tissue paper bear craft that’s super cute. All materials will be provided, and for additional information, contact staff at 325-676-6067.

  3. Friday Flicks: "Air Force One"

    Check out the next Friday Flicks event at your Main Library, where we show some great hits across all genres for adults to come out and enjoy in the afternoon. For this session, we’ll be watching the hit action flick from 1997, starring Harrison Ford in “Air Force One.” In this film, communist radicals hijack Air Force One with the U.S. President and his family on board. The Vice President negotiates from Washington, D.C., while the President, a veteran, fights to rescue the hostages on board. This film is rated R for violence and has a run time of 2 hours and 4 minutes. Don’t pass up on seeing a great flick from the 90’s, and for additional information, contact staff at 325-676-6025.

  4. Family Board Games

    February 7, 2020, 4:00 PM - 5:30 PM @ 1st Floor, Children's Area

    Join your Main Library for a great Family Board Games session. We’ll offer a great selection of classic games such as Don’t Break the Ice, Candyland, and more, then you can play them as a family, or challenge other participating families in some gaming fun. Plus, you’re also welcome to bring a game with you to play. The more the merrier.
