  1. Free Tax Assistance

    March 13, 2020, 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM @ Activity Room

    e-File your taxes for free with IRS-trained volunteers from the AARP through the annual Free Tax Assistance program running February 5 through April 11 at your Main Library and Mockingbird Branch locations. Guests are helped on a first-come, first-served basis and you should bring with you your Photo ID, Social Security Card, W-2s, a blank check, and all other tax materials you’ll need from 2019. Sessions will be hosted weekly on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 10AM to 3PM at your Main Library, Fridays and Saturdays at the Mockingbird Branch (same time). Sign-up for a spot starting at 9:30AM and continue to do so until all spots are filled. For more information, contact staff at 325-676-6025 or 325-437-7323

  2. Spring Break STEAM: Flower Pot Dessert

    Youth are invited to join your South Branch Library for more STEAM fun activities. Just because school is out for Spring Break, that doesn’t mean you still can’t have fun with hands-on activities that will get you thinking and keep you busy. We’ll offer a different project each day of Spring Break, and they’ll be located in the children’s area of the library.   3. Super Storytime: Ooh, La Llama

    Super Storytimes are back at your Mockingbird Branch Library for the Spring! Kids of all ages, and parents too, are invited to join us for an enhanced storytime event that’s all going to be about llamas.   4. Teen Tech: Meet Cue!

    March 13, 2020, 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM @ Meeting Room

    The library has an awesome new robot for everyone to meet...Cue! It’s a little robot with a big personality that is ready to teach coding through blockly and javascript. On Friday the 13th, the South Branch will have another chance for you to come and meet them and learn how to use the little bots in case you missed the programs hosted earlier in the week at the Mockingbird Branch.   1. Spring Break Camp

    Campers will have a party at GV Daniels Recreation Center! Through the celebration of Spring Break, there will be lots of fun activities for the kids, such as games, gym activities, outdoor adventures, field trips, provided lunches, and more! It's $65 per child, and it's open to both boys and girls ages 6-13. This camp takes place at GV Daniels Recreation Center from March 9-13 from 7am-6pm.
