  1. Youth Chess Club

    March 3, 2020, 4:00 PM - 5:30 PM @ Activity Room

    Tweens and teens are invited to be a part of the library’s Youth Chess Club, providing a great opportunity to learn and play chess in a supportive environment. At each session, youth will get the chance to socialize, learn about the club, develop skills and techniques for better play, watch demonstrations, and then try their hand at playing friendly games with their peers. Chess is a great game of strategy, and we invite you all to build up your skills at your library. Sessions will be hosted across all branch locations.     Youth are invited to join us for our monthly LEGO Club, Jr. session. Hosted in the children’s area, we’ll supply you with LEGO so you can use your creativity to build whatever you can imagine.     Toddler Times are a weekly storytime session aimed at youth ages 2-3, and parents. Led by children's staff at the library, these sessions will help prepare youth for longer stories in preparation for engaging in all other children's programming for older youth at the library such as Preschool Storytime, Family Fun, and Super Storytime events.

    Lapsits are a weekly storytime series aimed at parents and youth ages 1-2. Led by children's staff at the library, they'll be on hand to share rhymes, music, short stories, and more that's designed to keep a child's interest.
