    Join your library for a great afternoon movie to help get you into the Halloween spirit. At this session, we’ll be showing a scary flick based on the series by Alvin Schwartz with 2019’s “Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark” starring Zoe Magaret Colletti and Michael Garza. In this film, on Halloween 1968, Stella and her two friends meet a mysterious drifter, Ramon, and uncover a sinister notebook of stories. This film is rated PG-13 for terror/violence, disturbing images, thematic elements, language including racial epithets, and brief sexual reference, and has a run time of 1 hour and 48 minutes. Feel free to bring your own snacks and drinks to enjoy!

    Everyone’s invited to come and explore the world around you through Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math with your South Branch Library. At this session, for the fall season, youth will be challenged to make a fence to see if they can make five little pumpkins sit on top. Are you up for the challenge? Don’t miss out on this educational series at your library. All materials and instruction will be made available, but you’ll have to use a bit of critical thinking to complete this project.
