    If it’s time for you to sign-up for Medicare, and you don’t know where to begin, be sure to register and attend a free Medicare Class at your Abilene Public Library. Multiple sessions will be hosted each month and led by specialists Jennifer Walter & Breanna Maichel. Each session will run up to 1-hour long and designed with the goal of providing seniors with the tools needed to be able to make the right decisions going into Medicare. From understanding the parts of Medicare to prescription drug plans, learning how to enroll to reviewing health plans, you’ll be sure to get all the answers you need. This time we’re watching 2017’s “Coco” with the voices of Anthony Gonzalez, Gael Garcia Bernal, and Benjamin Bratt. In this film, aspiring musician Miguel, confronted with his family’s ancestral ban on music, enters the Land of the Dead to find his great-great-grandfather, a legendary singer. This film is rated PG for thematic elements and has a run time of 1 hour and 45 minutes. Feel free to bring your own snacks and drinks to enjoy with the movie.

    Catch a great movie during the South Branch Library’s Saturday Matinee event where we play great hits. At this session we’ll be showing 2003’s “The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, based on a popular comic and starring Sean Connery, Stuart Townsend, Peta Wilson, and other familiar names. In this film, in an alternate Victorian Age world, a group of famous contemporary fantasy, science, fiction, and adventure characters team up on a secret mission. This film is rated PG-13 for intense sequences of fantasy violence, language and innuendo, and has a run time of 1 hour and 50 minutes. Feel free to bring your own snacks and drinks to enjoy with the movie.
